Acrylic & Aluminium Printing
Utilising a durable and light fast UV ink set, SCL provide a variety of solutions for frameless displays and wall art by printing directly on to clear, frosted and white acrylic. In addition we can also print directly to an aluminium substrate.
To simplify the pricing of our direct to substrate printing, we have kept the prices the same for any given size regardless of the material or finish required. Prices are at the end of this section.
Acrylic Sandwich
The image is reverse printed to the top 5mm acrylic sheet, which is then backed by another 5mm sheet. The two pieces are held together and fixed to the wall with four 19mm deep, satin aluminium studs. This finish is only suitable for fixing against a white or off-white wall.

Frosted Acrylic
The image is printed on the front surface of a piece of 8mm clear acrylic which has been frosted on both sides. This gives a soft satin finish which is suitable for fixing to neutral or soft toned walls. The image is fixed to the wall using four 19mm satin aluminium studs.
We can also reverse print to an 8mm single frosted acrylic. The inks are sprayed on to the frosted side of the acrylic, leaving the glossy side facing outwards.

Polar Frost
Similar in finish to the Frosted Acrylic, but with a whiter, more opaque look. This allows it to be placed on walls with a deeper colour base.

Clear White Combi
The image is reverse printed on to 3mm clear acrylic which is then backed by a piece of 5mm white acrylic. This gives a very deep glossy presentation with strong saturated colours. The two pieces of acrylic are held together and fixed to the wall with two 19mm deep, satin aluminium studs. This is an ideal solution if the image is to be positioned against strong coloured surfaces.

Gloss White Acrylic
The image is surface printed on to 10mm white acrylic. The glossy surface of the acrylic provides an interesting contrast when seen against the semi-matt nature of the inks. This finish will work against all coloured surfaces and has the ability to be hung using a concealed keyhole hanger instead of studs. Deduct £20 for the keyhole option.

Clear Acrylic (not illustrated)
The inks are reverse printed on to a piece of 10mm clear acrylic.
This finish requires fixing against a white wall.
Four 19mm satin aluminium fixing studs are supplied.

Satin Aluminium
The inks are sprayed directly on to the surface of a piece of aluminium laminate. The aluminium is then framed, without glass, using a Nielson 04 brushed satin moulding providing a subtle contrast in tone to the printed sheet.
